A letter has arrived for you

Dear you,

Within the Unravelling

Second Edition · Taurus Full Moon · October 2026

Before beginning this drawing, I set an intention to bring forward a message through the symbols, signs and shapes that might appear. I think of this as listening to my higher self: a deeper part of my own consciousness, the knowing within me that I cannot always reach through words. As I draw, I give that part of myself space to take form. What I recognise in the image, and what you recognise in it, may be very different. Your own way of seeing becomes part of the encounter.

This edition arrives around the Taurus full moon on 26 October, with five planets in retrograde: Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Retrograde means that a planet appears to move backwards from our view on Earth. In astrology, it symbolises a time to pause and revisit: our communication, relationships, boundaries, changes and dreams. I use these cycles as a language for reflection. If you have felt unsettled, sensitive or drawn back to old questions, perhaps this offers a way to sit with those feelings more gently.

With Scorpio season inviting depth, Venus returning to Libra bringing relationships and balance into focus, and the Taurus full moon symbolising grounding, I find myself returning to one question:

What am I ready to understand differently, so I can move forward with more trust in myself?

These cycles pass; we do not have to stay in this uncertainty forever. My hope is that we come through with a little more strength, self-understanding and compassion. There is no need to force a lesson from every difficult feeling. We can take our time, find what steadies us, and allow what we learn to help us navigate, evolve and grow through this experience of being alive.

But as I drew, I was not sure I liked what was appearing. I could not quite understand it. There was so much happening: forms folding into one another, lines becoming tangled, something emerging and then disappearing again. I kept looking for a clear message, and it would not settle into one.

Eventually, that began to make sense to me. The drawing felt as complicated and chaotic as the season I was trying to reflect on. Perhaps the uncertainty was part of what needed to come through. Perhaps I did not need to untangle everything for it to hold meaning.

I am satisfied with where it has arrived, even though I am still discovering it. I have called it Within the Unravelling. For me, it holds the possibility that we can be in the middle of something unfinished or difficult to understand and still find a moment of connection there.
